Doyle Lane: Master of Clay at the Huntington

Doyle Lane is a mythic figure among artists and clayheads in LA; I still kick myself for not buying one of this tender, perfect little “weed pots” (the ideal bud vase) at a consignment shop ten years ago. The Huntington is restoring his massive 1964 stoneware mural and putting on a retrospective this fall.
