Hollyhock House

Frank Lloyd Wright’s 1919 masterpiece on the top of a wee mount in the middle of LA, and my favorite place to meet up with friends and kids for giant sunset picnics in the heat of the summer. There’s always a breeze, the vibes are impeccable, life is good! Abby Brach,the newish curator at Hollyhock, has been programming superb contemporary exhibitions at the house; Louise Bonnet and Adam Silverman’s show a few years ago might have been the best show in LA that year.
